Alright. The Tournament will be held in Single Elimination Bo3. The Final will be Bo5. All participants can switch around their decks but are locked to the class they've chosen before the Tournament starts. Every streamer is encouraged to Stream their games with a 5minute delay, we will run 2 matches simultaneously and then choose one per straw poll to restream it. Afterwards there will be a short interview, maybe some giveaways, some analyzing and then we'll go to the next games. The bracket will be random and published in about 36 hours from now. (about 3hrs before the Tournament starts).

Gamescom aftermath!

Hey Hearthstone fellows,

Gamescom was a blast! I am really looking forward to next year.
Now in the aftermath of Gamescom I am looking forward to flesh out some things and get this project rolling. So in the next few days I will post the ruleset for this Tournament, any suggestions are appreciated (comment section below). The current list of particiapants are on the right hand side. Everyone with a Link to their Stream has already accepted their invite. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask in the comments.

6 Streamer spots left!

In the recent hours im glad to announce that a lot of streamers accepted their invites, such as DoaSC, TrumpSC, ArchonTheWizard, Chobralol, Noxious_HS, Evilsourcegaming, Kripparrian and Locodoco!. The roster is slowly filling up and i want to thank every participant for their fast replies and dedication.

So 6 spots are still free and we will continue to send out invites, every Streamer which is listed on the right hand side on this blog is invited to the Tournament, even if they haven't recieved their invite letters yet. You can now donate to Save the Children!

Hey fellow Hearthstone gamers,

so after a rough start and not very much cooperation from more well known Internet personas, we will have to do ot all on our own. So on the top right hand side you will find a Link (Later a button), to Donate to Save the Children via a Gaming for Good Fundraiser. The money you donate goes DIRECTLY to save the Children and does not make a stop inbetween by anyone. The Fundraiser will then count how much money the Tournament raised for Save the Children. Any points generated through donations will be given out as game keys on Tournament day to the community which I think is a nice little sidekick.

I hope we will get things rolling now, and I hope to have your support to make this project reality.

No crowd funding, but still a way to donate to charity

So unfortunately a lot of sources have some problems with a Crowd Funded Charity pool and a no entry fee Tournament, therefore I will NOT open a crowd funding project. We will have an option to donate money for charity though, just a little different. More on that subject later.

Prize Pools

I've contacted a bunch of guys on the list and i am now waiting for responses.

I am currently working on a partnership and I am trying to find a good solution so people can donate money to the second prize pool which goes 100% to charity (except paypal fees). So the plan is to have two different prize pools the original one as "prize money" (which comes from my private wallet) and a second pool that goes completely to charity.

You guys make this possible because you give me the motivation with your positive comments and feedback, so thank you all very much! :)

Blog Launched!

Hello Hearthstone fellows,
I'm planning to organize a Hearthstone Beta Streamer Tournament exclusively for the Streamers which have shown us the game over the course of the last days. There is a chance to win wildcards to fill blind spots but we will get to that later. The rules are pretty simple:
The Streamers will play in a Bo3, so the winner of two matches advances to the next round. The Finals will be played as a Bo5. You can change and switch your deck in between games (also in between an ongoing series in a Bo3 or Bo5). All the Streamers have to set a 5 minute delay to their stream which should prevent ghosting and squealing from viewers in the chat.
The Tournament starts Saturday the 31st August 2013 at 16pm EST.
Rewards: 40$ will be spread from Place 1 to 3.

In the end it would be a 16 player bracket and until the tournament starts i will look out for more streamers which i will invite. If we cannot fill the bracket with 16 Streamers there will be a Wildcard Raffle later on.
My question now is: Would the Hearthstone community watch this and like this idea? I am totally on my own and alone planning this so this would be a lot of effort but i would dive deep into it because i love this game, this community and our streamers oh so much.
